This sansho powder is made from large "grape sansho" berries, which are handpicked and carefully ground using a mill. The mill grinding process prevents flavor deterioration due to high temperatures, preserving the fresh, citrus-like aroma and vibrant green color of the sansho.
With its refreshing fragrance and mild spiciness, this sansho powder adds a unique touch to various dishes. Sprinkle it on grilled eel, teriyaki, yakitori, braised fish, mackerel miso stew, fried chicken, or even Chinese dishes to enhance the flavor.
